Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

Bradley Environmental Consultants is seeking a proactive Quality Assurance Officer to join its growing technical team in Halesowen. The role involves auditing asbestos survey and analytical work to ensure compliance with ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct method‑witness audits and 5% reinspections on surveyors and analysts.
• Report audit findings to auditees and the Technical and Quality Management Teams.
• Support the Quality Management Team in maintaining ISO‑accredited processes.
• Maintain audit records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current experience in a quality auditing capacity or a proven recent track record in the asbestos sector.
• Strong independence, honesty, and ability to work autonomously or within a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on detail.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional travel.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 accreditation requirements.
• BOHS Proficiency Qualifications (P401, P402, P403, P404, P405, W504, CCP) or equivalent asbestos competence.
• Practical experience in asbestos analytical and survey work.
• Proven quality auditing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams (training provided if needed).
