Quality Assurance Officer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join an established pharmaceutical manufacturer in Sandwich. The role is permanent, full‑time and requires a local candidate with unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Provide QA support across all departments and maintain the Quality Management System.
• Review and approve pre‑ and post‑production documentation, batch releases and ensure material specifications are met.
• Handle QA review and approval of deviations, CAPAs, change controls, complaints and out‑of‑specification reports.
• Assist with internal and external audits and manage product recalls.
• Maintain quality agreements and questionnaires with external partners.
• Develop and monitor the company training matrix and conduct quarterly training reviews.
• Participate in weekly QA meetings, conduct timely investigations and update relevant logbooks.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ QA experience in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP and broader GxP requirements.
• Proven ability to manage QMS, CAPA, deviations, change controls and batch record reviews.
• Excellent investigative and problem‑solving abilities with clear technical writing skills.
• Organised, able to prioritise multiple tasks and communicate effectively across departments.
