About the role
The Quality Assurance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across processes and projects within our products. This position requires advanced technical skills, the ability to work autonomously, and a passion for guiding and mentoring.
Key responsibilities
- Perform goods inward, in‑process, and final inspection services to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Verify manufacturing reports and data books, such as welding and NDT certificates, for accuracy and completeness.
- Document product and process non‑conformance issues in the company's NCR system.
- Attend and contribute to FMEA team meetings and project risk reviews.
- Plan, execute, and report process readiness and surveillance audits.
- Maintain the calibration system, including external calibration activities.
- Review and update controlled documents to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Liaise with third‑party inspectors and client representatives on quality matters.
Required profile
- HND or equivalent in an engineering‑related discipline, or working towards a recognised qualification.
- Desired CWSIP certification.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with a focus on quality assurance.
- Willingness to travel within the UK for supplier witness activities.
Required skills
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Proficiency with IT systems and platforms used for quality management.
- Experience in root cause analysis and problem‑solving techniques.
