Quality Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a talented Quality Automation Engineer to join a high‑performing engineering team in Leeds. You will help improve software quality, delivery efficiency and customer outcomes by designing and implementing modern test automation strategies across a range of digital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and test suites.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance testing efficiency.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support cloud‑based delivery environments and ensure automation solutions are robust and maintainable.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality engineering, test automation or software testing roles.
• Strong understanding of automated testing principles and modern quality engineering practices.
• Comfortable working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Object‑oriented programming: Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Automation tools: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar.
• AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
