Quality Bids & Proposals Coordinator

About the role

The Quality Bids & Proposals Coordinator will lead all quality‑related activities throughout the bid and proposal lifecycle. You will ensure that customer requirements are fully understood, accurately costed and integrated into competitive, compliant proposals for defence and aerospace contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer specifications, drawings and requirements to define the quality scope of work.
• Develop and maintain Quality Basis of Estimates (BOEs), ensuring accurate costing and resourcing of quality activities.
• Collaborate with Quality subject‑matter experts to validate labour hours, inspection needs and delivery approaches.
• Document quality assumptions, dependencies and exclusions within bid packages.
• Assess and record quality risks and opportunities, supporting mitigation planning and bid risk reviews.
• Identify additional equipment, training, certification, tooling or specialist skills required for contract fulfilment.
• Represent Quality during bid reviews, approval boards and sign‑off meetings.
• Maintain and improve the Quality bid response library, templates and reusable content.
• Ensure all proposed quality actions meet customer, regulatory and company standards.

Required profile

• Background in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Quality.
• Experience supporting bids or proposals in defence, aerospace or other highly regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and quality management systems.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and customer requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisational abilities.
