Quality Control Analyst – Laboratory Testing

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control Analyst to join our busy laboratory team on an initial 2‑3 month temporary contract, with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance. Reporting to the QC Lead, you will support testing, documentation and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards across production.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples and perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in‑process items and finished products.
• Record, review and maintain accurate test results and related documentation.
• Assist with equipment checks, routine maintenance and calibration.
• Follow company health, safety and quality procedures.
• Support investigations, troubleshooting and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Production, QC and other departments to meet operational targets.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline (preferred).
• Previous experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) – essential.
• Knowledge of HPLC – highly desirable.
• Laboratory or quality‑control experience in a scientific, chemical or pharmaceutical environment (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail, organisational ability and good communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to start immediately or with short notice.
