Quality Control and Administration Technician

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing manufacturing business in Sevenoaks to find a Quality Control and Administration Technician. The role combines laboratory testing, documentation management and support for internal and external customers, working Monday to Friday, 9 am‑5.30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out quality control testing on raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished products.
• Use laboratory equipment to assess physical properties and record accurate test results.
• Maintain and analyse quality records, monitor trends and support continuous‑improvement projects.
• Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment and organise retained samples.
• Keep the laboratory clean, safe and well‑organised.
• Produce and package small‑scale production batches when required.
• Assist investigations into customer quality enquiries.
• Provide technical support to internal departments and customers.
• Maintain controlled documentation such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and COSHH records.
• Support health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
• Help prepare monthly quality and compliance reports.

Required profile

• Qualification in a science‑based subject.
• Previous experience in quality control, laboratory testing or manufacturing.
• Good understanding of laboratory practices and testing procedures.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems (advantageous).
• Operation of laboratory testing equipment.
