Quality Control Inspector

About the role

Saab UK is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join the Seaeye Business Unit. You will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing products meet the strict quality standards required for defence and marine applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections and use measuring equipment such as CNC CMM and hand tools to verify parts.
• Check deliveries against packing lists and purchase orders for accuracy in quantity and specification.
• Create and maintain detailed inspection records, test reports and audit trails.
• Identify defects, quarantine non‑conforming items and initiate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and supply‑chain teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Use IT systems to document inspections and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and act with integrity at all times.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Mechanical Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
• Significant experience using mechanical measuring equipment.
• Familiarity with FAIRs and/or PPAP processes.
• Ability to produce accurate, comprehensive written inspection reports.

Required skills

• Use of CNC Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Proficiency with hand measuring tools.
• Knowledge of FAIRs and PPAP documentation.
• Inspection equipment operation and data recording.
