Quality Engineer – Compliance & Auditing

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established precision engineering business operating in highly regulated sectors such as aerospace and defence. The Quality Engineer – Compliance & Auditing will ensure the organisation meets aerospace standards, customer requirements and internal quality systems, focusing on audits, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Conduct internal process and system audits.
• Support external customer, AS9100 and accreditation audits.
• Manage non‑conformances from a systems perspective.
• Support Material Review Board (MRB) and concession processes.
• Produce quality reports and KPI data.
• Develop SOPs and quality documentation.
• Drive corrective and preventative actions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support calibration systems and ensure compliance with aerospace and customer requirements.

Required profile

• Quality Engineer or Lead Auditor with strong AS9100 knowledge.
• Experience in internal auditing and QMS/IMS implementation.
• Manufacturing background; previous inspection experience is beneficial.
