Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will embed a quality and safety mindset across the business, ensuring delivery "on‑time, first‑time" through fact‑based analysis and continuous improvement. The role focuses on quality assurance, supporting health, safety and environmental initiatives while maintaining compliance with key standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100, keeping accurate records for certification.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, ensuring proper documentation.
• Assist with Business Management System (BMS) upkeep, schedule internal audits and report to the QHSE Manager.
• Identify and implement updates to in‑house procedures to meet external certification requirements.
• Drive QMS corrective actions and continual improvement programmes.
• Investigate customer quality concerns, non‑conformances and coordinate external ISO audits.
• Develop strong relationships across all levels, championing a quality‑focused culture.
• Train colleagues on QMS usage and promote its benefits.
• Manage non‑conforming parts, ensuring timely resolution and effective corrective actions.
• Track NCRs, spot recurrence patterns and provide targeted support.
• Support supplier quality assurance activities, including performance monitoring and investigations.

Required profile

• Experience working with ISO quality, environmental and occupational health & safety standards.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong analytical mindset for root‑cause analysis and improvement.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
