Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of high‑precision assembly systems near Poynton. You will work within a small, dedicated team to uphold quality standards, support regulatory and customer requirements, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare for and lead customer assessments and audits.
• Plan, execute and close internal and supplier audits.
• Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) records.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to product improvement activities.
• Manage customer returns and record data for business improvement.
• Develop verification processes for hardware inspection and maintain supplier lists.
• Support advanced product quality planning, including PFMEAs and control plans.
• Oversee calibration activities and certify product releases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory and customer standards.
