Quality Engineer

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in Andover within a fast‑paced contract manufacturing environment. You will be embedded on the shop floor, working closely with production, suppliers and leadership to drive right‑first‑time delivery and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 & AS9100).
• Support compliance with environmental and health & safety standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Lead and participate in internal and external audits.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why and similar tools.
• Manage non‑conformance, supplier quality activities and calibration systems.
• Identify risks, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a precision manufacturing setting, preferably with AS9100 or similar high‑spec standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Confident in challenging and improving processes constructively.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
