Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Quality team in Weston‑super‑Mare. You will work hands‑on with Production, Engineering and Quality colleagues to maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, while driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations into quality issues using 8D and root‑cause analysis.
• Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and reduce non‑conformances.
• Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA and other Automotive Core Tools activities.
• Assist with supplier quality management and audits.
• Maintain quality documentation and reporting systems.
• Handle customer concerns, warranty reporting and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Automotive Core Tools.
• Audit‑trained (IATF 16949 Lead Auditor desirable).
• Confident communicator with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and build effective relationships across the business.

What we offer

• Salary up to £45,000+ depending on experience.
• 9‑day fortnight (every other Friday off).
• 13 weeks full company sick pay, then 13 weeks half pay.
• August and Christmas factory shutdowns.
