Quality Engineer – Major Infrastructure Project

About the role

We are delivering a multi‑billion‑dollar infrastructure programme that will reshape the region. The Quality Engineer will work on‑site and in the office, providing leadership and analytical expertise to ensure the project meets the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project‑specific Quality Management Plans across large work packages.
• Review, approve and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs); identify and investigate non‑conformances (NCRs) and track corrective actions.
• Conduct internal, subcontractor and supplier quality audits to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Compile QA data books and handover packages for final asset acceptance.
• Promote a “Right First Time” culture and mentor site teams on quality best practices.

Required profile

• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors, navigating strict governance and reporting.
• Proven track record on major civil, rail, tunnelling, utilities or heavy‑infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, construction methodologies and ISO 9001 standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Lead Auditor qualification is highly regarded.
