Quality Engineer – Manufacturing, Burnley

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business in Burnley. You will act as the quality lead for designated customer accounts, support continuous improvement, and help maintain high standards across a modern production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support manufacturing quality across production lines and customer accounts.
• Carry out internal process and system audits.
• Lead 8D investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Apply SPC, MSA and process capability studies to drive improvement.
• Investigate non‑conformances and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Willingness to commute to Burnley or live locally.
