Quality Engineer – Manufacturing (Cambridge)

About the role
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team in Cambridge. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems for high‑precision products used across communications, defence, space and transportation sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and improve quality management systems and processes.
- Lead non‑conformance investigations, change control and corrective actions.
- Conduct internal ISO9001 and ISO27001 audits.
- Analyse manufacturing data to drive continuous improvement.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve quality, yield and efficiency.
Required profile
- Experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar manufacturing quality role.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 (ISO27001 and Internal Auditor certification desirable).
- Experience with RCCA, 8D, FMEA and statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP.
- Understanding of RoHS, REACH and SCIP regulations.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working within a Lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
