Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client’s growing manufacturing team in Aldershot. This hands‑on position offers ownership of quality across the entire production process, from incoming material checks to final product verification, documentation, and non‑conformance management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections of manufactured components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to confirm product compliance.
• Prepare inspection reports, certificates, and related quality documentation.
• Utilise a range of inspection tools such as hand tools, verniers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs and shadowgraph equipment.
• Identify, investigate and report non‑conformances, supporting corrective‑action implementation.

Required profile

• Background in machining, manufacturing, assembly or precision engineering.
• Previous hands‑on experience as a Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer.
• Confidence using various inspection and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong problem‑solving capability to address quality issues.

What we offer

• Salary up to £39,000 per year (range £35,000‑£39,000).
• Permanent contract.
• Mon‑Thu 07:30‑16:00, Fri 07:30‑15:00 (39‑hour week) with overtime available.
