Quality Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

Beagle Technology Group is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its aerospace manufacturing team in Christchurch. You will perform in‑process and final inspections, ensuring components meet engineering drawings, customer specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out in‑process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to verify product conformity.
• Support First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with AS9102 and customer requirements.
• Record inspection results accurately, maintaining traceability and APQP control plans.
• Assist with NCR investigations, RCCA activities and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in internal, customer and third‑party audits.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised inspection area.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in aerospace or precision engineering inspection.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and torque tools.
• Good understanding of AS9102, APQP, MSA and SPC methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience supporting NCR and RCCA activities.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to quality.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• HNC/HND in Engineering or Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
