Quality Inspector – CMM (Engineering)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with CMM expertise to join our state‑of‑the‑art engineering facility near Chard. You will become a key problem‑solver, leading CMM operations and supporting quality, production and goods‑in teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment and Faro Arm tools.
• Ensure compliance with company, customer and industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Collaborate with production, quality and goods‑in departments to resolve non‑conformities.
• Lead and mentor junior inspectors in CMM procedures.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.

Required profile

• Proven quality inspection experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of CMM operation and measurement techniques.
• Ability to work on a full‑time schedule (Mon‑Thu 08:00‑17:00, Fri 08:00‑13:00) and commute to Chard.
