Quality Inspector (CMM Programming / CAD Training)

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join a specialist engineering company with a strong reputation in aerospace, gas & oil, rail and marine sectors. The role offers full training in CAD packages and CMM programming, providing a clear pathway to technical expertise and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Program and operate coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for precision inspections.
• Produce, review and archive detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure all work complies with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
• Carry out dimensional and visual inspections on components across multiple industries.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.

Required profile

• Experience in a quality, quality‑control or QA inspection role.
• Motivation to develop technical skills in CAD and CMM programming.
• Commitment to high standards of accuracy and documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD packages (training provided).
• CMM programming knowledge or willingness to be trained.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
