Quality Inspector – Manufacturing & Metalwork

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join a specialist metal‑work manufacturer in Winchester. You will own inspection activities across the production line, ensuring that incoming materials, in‑process components and finished products meet exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out incoming goods, in‑process and final quality inspections.
• Perform dimensional checks and verify products against technical drawings and specifications.
• Raise, investigate and resolve non‑conformances and quality issues.
• Manage procurement of materials, components and subcontracted services.
• Liaise with suppliers to coordinate deliveries, quality requirements and performance.
• Support development and maintenance of quality systems, inspection records and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with production, design and procurement teams to ensure project success.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, furniture, lighting or bespoke production environment.
• Proven background in quality inspection and dimensional measurement.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
