Quality Inspector - Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join Davall Gears on the night shift. The role is permanent, 39 hours per week, working Monday‑Thursday from 21:45 to 08:00 at our Welham Green facility. You will support the production of precision‑machined components for aerospace, automotive and medical‑device applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑off, final and patrol inspections of precision‑machined parts.
• Generate First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 Rev B.
• Calibrate and maintain measurement equipment, including CMMs.
• Document inspection results and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, TS 16949 and AS 9100 standards.
• Control and monitor measuring devices and functional procedures.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, reliable and flexible team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise daily tasks.
• Engineering or manufacturing background.

Required skills

• Inspection of precision‑machined components.
• Use of general inspection equipment and understanding of geometric tolerances.
• Calibration of measurement equipment.
• Programming and operation of CMM equipment.
• First Article Inspection reporting (AS9102 Rev B).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS 16949 and AS 9100 standards.
