Quality Inspector – Night Shift

About the role

The Quality Inspector works on the night shift at Boeing's Sheffield facility, supporting the production of flight‑critical hardware for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role focuses on identifying, analysing and resolving product non‑conformances while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate product non‑conformances, disposition types, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
• Support root‑cause investigations and provide recommendations to eliminate non‑conformances.
• Gather data, develop corrective and preventive actions, and track their implementation.
• Conduct audits to verify media handling and storage meet engineering and regulatory requirements.
• Create reports and coordinate distribution with relevant stakeholders.
• Verify internal replication systems adhere to company and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a quality function, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100‑approved facilities and ISO 9001 controlled environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply basic mathematical concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting CMM machines and using measurement equipment.
• Capability to train and mentor colleagues and work independently.
