Quality Inspector – Precision Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility near Chard. The role involves inspecting CNC‑produced components and ensuring that all products meet the rigorous standards required by our customers in rail, energy, defence and automotive sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out first‑off, manufactured goods and final assembly inspections across the business.
• Produce accurate quality reports and communicate findings to production teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve quality standards and compliance with industry and customer specifications.
• Perform regular overtime as required to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality inspection within a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.
• Commutes from Axminster, Crewkerne, Honiton, Seaton or Yeovil.
• Valid right to work in the UK.
