Quality Inspector – Precision Engineering

About the role

Join a leading subcontract precision engineering company as a Quality Inspector. You will ensure that all incoming, outgoing, and in‑process parts meet strict quality standards using specialised inspection tools.

Key responsibilities

• Operate inspection equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, PI tapes, thickness and echo meters.
• Inspect goods in, goods out, subcontract work and purchased parts.
• Perform magnetic particle inspection on relevant components.
• Carry out in‑process and finished‑goods inspections and process audits.
• Calibrate measuring equipment and maintain calibration records.
• Sign first and last inspection reports and report any non‑conforming parts.
• Work a 4‑day week (Monday‑Thursday) with occasional night shifts (one in four weeks).

Required profile

• Previous inspection experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated with good communication and housekeeping practices.
