Quality Laboratory Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Laboratory Technician to join a busy, well‑established client in Beaminster. The role supports the Quality Assurance department by carrying out laboratory testing, sampling and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform goods‑in sampling, including density and moisture analysis.
• Carry out blend checks and approvals.
• Prepare and process samples for internal and external laboratory testing.
• Conduct chemical and product testing as required.
• Record and input laboratory results into internal systems such as SAP.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including submission forms and sample logs.
• Assist with new product development activities and equipment preparation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and health & safety standards.
• Identify and escalate any quality, safety or compliance issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to support quality objectives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a laboratory or quality environment (desirable).
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and food safety standards such as HACCP and GMP.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow processes, maintain accurate records and work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be 18 years or over and hold a driving licence.

What we offer

• Temporary contract with the possibility of permanent placement.
• Rate of £13.52 per hour.
• Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm onsite.
• Potential overtime.
