Quality Manager – Aerospace/Precision Engineering

About the role

This senior quality leadership position oversees product conformity and release across three aerospace and precision‑engineering sites. You will shape the Quality Management System, drive supplier quality, and ensure the business meets AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and develop the Inspection and Quality team across three facilities.
• Define and implement the quality strategy, policies, processes and standards for the business and its supply chain.
• Maintain AS9100/ISO9001 accreditation, host internal and external audits and manage audit findings.
• Produce inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Control non‑conformities, manage NCRs and oversee Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
• Maintain and archive quality records to meet aerospace traceability requirements.
• Train and coach staff to ensure consistent standards and ways of working.
• Monitor production, perform periodic QC checks and implement process improvements.
• Verify supplier materials before incorporation and drive root‑cause investigations.

Required profile

• Strong technical experience in aerospace or precision‑engineering manufacturing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 practical application.
• Proven experience in a quality role with team leadership responsibilities.
• Solid understanding of problem‑solving techniques, MRB, NCR handling and corrective‑action processes.
