Quality Manager – Asbestos (Hybrid, Kettering)

About the role
We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead the asbestos management department, ensuring technical and quality systems are effectively implemented, maintained and continuously improved. The role is hybrid, based in Kettering two days per week, and covers surveying, training delivery and air monitoring activities.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day execution of the Quality and Technical Manual, maintaining document control, versioning and accessibility.
- Provide guidance to staff on quality system application and ensure compliance with the latest standards.
- Investigate technical or quality issues, client complaints and non‑conformances, performing root‑cause analysis and driving corrective actions.
- Develop and manage an annual internal audit schedule, conduct audits and inspections, and implement improvement plans.
- Mentor asbestos surveyors and analysts, supporting their technical development and procedural compliance.
- Maintain internal authorisation records and the staff training matrix, ensuring certifications are current.
Required profile
- Proven experience in quality management within an asbestos or hazardous‑materials environment.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to lead investigations, perform root‑cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
