Quality Manager

About the role

Are you a Quality Manager who thrives in a structured, process‑driven environment where accuracy and methodical thinking are valued? You will shape quality systems, elevate standards and ensure consistency across every stage of production while leading site‑wide quality performance. A flexible 4‑day or 5‑day week is available.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Management System and ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and customer‑specific requirements.
• Drive quality strategy, KPIs and governance across the Blandford site, with occasional travel to Poole.
• Oversee APQP and manage accurate, on‑time PPAP submissions.
• Implement in‑process quality controls, including audits, error‑proofing and process capability studies.
• Manage customer and supplier quality performance, handling complaints, audits and corrective actions.
• Reduce scrap, rework and cost of poor quality through data‑driven problem solving.

Required profile

• Leadership experience within manufacturing quality management.
• Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and MSA.
• Hands‑on experience with metrology, GD&T, jigs, fixtures and capability analysis.
• Exposure to processes such as forming, fabricating, welding, machining or assembly.
• Confident customer‑facing communication and supplier development skills.
• Analytical approach to problem solving using tools such as 8D and 5‑Why.
