Quality Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a leading precision‑engineering company that supplies the aerospace sector. The role is permanent, based in Corsham, and involves overseeing the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quality and inspection cell, performing inspections during peak periods and holidays as needed.
• Guarantee that all outgoing work meets AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Maintain and update the company’s AS9100 and ISO 9001 approvals through effective QMS management.
• Develop and run an internal audit programme to verify regulatory and company compliance.
• Own QMS documentation, ensuring timely review, maintenance and revision.
• Manage non‑conformances from audits, customer complaints and non‑conforming products.
• Drive continuous improvement, share best practice and support audit activities.
• Act as the primary customer contact for quality‑related issues.
• Provide leadership to the quality team, fostering engagement and development.
• Support health and safety standards and oversee tooling register and equipment calibration.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager within the aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead internal and external compliance audits.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, including use of Lean Six Sigma techniques.
• Experience managing people and driving continuous improvement.
