Quality Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Officer to join our client’s team in Bristol on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will focus on conducting control and assurance reviews to ensure fair, compliant outcomes for customers in line with FCA regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct exception‑based audits using data‑driven anomalies, outliers and risk indicators.
• Deliver insight‑led reviews that reflect real‑world performance and customer outcomes.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to operational teams and escalate systemic issues with supporting data.
• Identify root causes of errors and recommend corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development of audit templates and control criteria.
• Support ad‑hoc tasks and projects as required.
• Create and distribute a quarterly blog highlighting key trends and quality insights.
• Participate in quality audit calibrations to ensure consistency across the team.

• Meticulous and self‑motivated with a passion for delivering fair outcomes, especially for vulnerable customers.
• Confident team player with a practical, client‑focused approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).

What we offer

• £28,800 – £30,000 per year.
• 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days with length of service.
