Quant Developer (C++/Python) – Startup

About the role

We are looking for a Quant Developer to join a fast‑growing startup in London. You will work on building and maintaining trading infrastructure, automating workflows and supporting the launch of new strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and automate technology solutions for routine tasks.
• Improve execution and alpha generation through back‑testing and analysis.
• Assist with deployment and verification of upgrades to production systems, custom trading applications and market‑data distribution.
• Onboard and organise new data sets and support the launch of new models and strategies.
• Explore and implement open‑source technologies.
• Monitor alerts, enhance the monitoring platform and provide issue support.
• Design and implement trading infrastructure, data‑analytics tools and real‑time execution strategies.
• Solve complex computational and data problems, delivering efficient and innovative solutions.
• Build tools and engines to improve data analysis and workflow.
• Support post‑trade activities, clearing and record‑keeping.
• Maintain Linux servers, desktops, databases and storage solutions.

Required profile

• Strong programming experience with a passion for solving complex problems.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms applied to real‑world challenges.
• Excellent communication, self‑direction and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Honest, reliable and proud of your work.
• Enthusiastic, eager to develop skills and open to new ideas.
• Flexible, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working in a Linux environment, primarily using C++ and Python, with exposure to grid computing.
• Preferably a strong undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline from a top‑tier university.
