Quant Developer – Equities

About the role

We are seeking a Quant Developer specialized in equities to join a leading hedge fund’s technology team. The role focuses on building and enhancing trading systems that support equity derivatives strategies, working closely with traders and researchers in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise the core equity trading engine for high performance.
• Design and implement systematic trade automation tools to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers and fellow developers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably on equity‑focused projects.
• Strong understanding of the equities asset class and equity derivatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands‑on experience with object‑oriented programming concepts.
