Quantitative Trader

About the role

The Quantitative Trader will join Marex’s Agricultural Trading desk, supporting the development of systematic trading strategies and analytical capabilities across global agricultural markets. This front‑office position blends deep market expertise with quantitative research, data science and alternative datasets to generate trading insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quantitative research initiatives that combine market, fundamental and alternative datasets to create differentiated trading insights.
• Develop, validate and enhance systematic trading strategies using diverse data sources.
• Research and integrate alternative data such as satellite imagery and geospatial information into trading models.
• Build scalable research tools, dashboards and analytical infrastructure to improve performance and productivity.
• Partner with discretionary traders to augment existing strategies through advanced statistical analysis.

Required profile

• Analytical, commercially minded and proactive quantitative professional.
• Experience applying statistical and data‑driven techniques within financial markets.
• Ability to shape quantitative direction while collaborating closely with trading, research and technology teams.
