Quantity Surveyor – Building Solutions South

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Solutions South team, supporting projects across Salisbury, Basingstoke and Southampton. You will work on secured‑environment projects valued between £5m‑£15m, helping to deliver high‑quality construction outcomes while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project finances to maximise gross margin and meet profitability targets.
• Tender, evaluate and appoint subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Measure, value and agree work to support invoicing and payments.
• Identify and negotiate contract variations with clients and the supply chain.
• Produce monthly commercial reports and accurate cost forecasts.

Required profile

• Experience in a quantity surveying role within construction.
• Relevant qualification (degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse teams.
• Organised, detail‑focused and collaborative.
• Willingness to continue professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
