Quantity Surveyor – Civil & Nuclear Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major engineering consultancy on a 12‑month contract supporting civil engineering and nuclear infrastructure projects at a secure site near Plymouth. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing commercial oversight from project inception to final account.

Key responsibilities

• Administer NEC contracts and manage subcontractor accounts.
• Assess and negotiate compensation events.
• Prepare valuations, forecasts and cost reports.
• Monitor risk and deliver commercial advice to project teams.
• Produce final accounts and support change control throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience in defence, nuclear or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contract administration.
• Experience managing costs, change control and commercial reporting.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance – UK birth and a valid British passport.
