Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Management

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our Frameworks Department, delivering refurbishment and lifecycle replacement projects across the UK. The role is primarily office‑based with working hours Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑17:00 and Friday 8:00‑15:30.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of projects from commencement to final account, including valuations, applications for payment and variations.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate payment applications, monitor costs, forecasts and profitability, and produce commercial reports.
• Administer subcontractor accounts, ensure contractual notices are issued on time, and support dispute avoidance through proactive contract administration.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Teams and clients to achieve project objectives and mentor junior commercial staff.

Required profile

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, refurbishment or facilities management.
• Proven ability to manage valuations, applications for payment, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness, financial understanding and excellent organisational skills.
• Professional membership or progress towards RICS, CIOB or similar accreditation is desirable.

Required skills

• Experience administering NEC, JCT or equivalent construction contracts.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
