Quantity Surveyor – High‑End Residential Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist contractor on a high‑end, bespoke residential development near Castle Cary. The project is delivered under a JCT contract and requires strong commercial acumen and on‑site decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support estimating stages by answering pricing and programming queries.
• Convert enquiries into subcontract orders, place orders and manage pre‑starts.
• Oversee packages through to completion, handling payments, valuations, variation accounts and re‑measures.
• Prepare forecasts and CVR documentation.
• Collaborate closely with the site management team to ensure timely delivery.
• Report to the Regional Commercial Manager while enjoying autonomy on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with regional or Tier 1 contractors on JCT contracts.
• Background in high‑quality residential developments.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
