Quantity Surveyor – Hybrid (Leeds/Sheffield/York)

About the role

This contract position offers a hybrid working model, with three days on‑site across Leeds, Sheffield and York and two days remote. You will join a leading energy infrastructure business that operates critical electricity and gas networks in the UK and the US, supporting the transition to a cleaner energy future.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial management and quantity surveying duties across multiple projects.
• Develop and own commercial strategy, risk assessment and cost‑control measures.
• Oversee day‑to‑day commercial queries and mentor junior team members.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Option C & E) from pre‑tender to post‑tender stages.
• Drive change‑management processes, governance and reporting.
• Produce cost/value forecasts and regular reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an independent Quantity Surveyor on complex projects.
• Strong track record of leading commercial activities and influencing outcomes.
• Ability to coach and develop junior staff.
• Excellent understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contract administration.
