Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The company is a long‑established, award‑winning specialist contractor in the construction and building safety sector. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will support commercial management and delivery across multiple projects, offering a stable platform for long‑term career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit applications for payment.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates.
• Commercially manage several live projects simultaneously.
• Monitor project performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Support operational teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with valuations, variations and final account negotiations.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery.
• Experience producing cost reports and financial forecasts.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive, self‑motivated approach.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
