About the role
Caralex Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a well‑regarded new‑build residential developer. The successful candidate will manage commercial activities across sites in Somerset and surrounding counties, supported by a trainee Quantity Surveyor and reporting to the Commercial Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare contracts, budgets, plans and other project documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost‑benefit analyses.
- Control costs, estimate, plan and forecast project expenditures.
- Perform valuations, value engineering and dispute resolution.
- Provide commercial information to Materials Buyers, Technical and Sales teams as required.
Required profile
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a housebuilder or main contractor.
- Ready to take on a new challenge within a commercial department.
