Quantity Surveyor

About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor at Solomons Europe you will act as a trusted commercial advisor, delivering strategic insight and managing NEC4 contract and commercial matters. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive successful project outcomes and embed on‑site to influence decisions at the point of delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage NEC4 contracts, commercial performance and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify smarter ways of working, shape process improvements and ensure effective commercial and contractual risk management.
• Provide forecasting, Cost Value Reconciliation and financial reporting to support project decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Engineering (HNC/HND accepted).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for business travel.
• Client‑focused, commercially astute and able to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Working towards, or willing to start, professional membership with RICS, CIPS or ICE.
• Experience of forecasting, Cost Value Reconciliation reporting and financial reporting.
• Developing knowledge of NEC4 contracts and contract strategies.
• Strong communication, teamwork and mentoring abilities.
