Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our London and Thames Valley team. The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) with some flexibility on working hours. You will help manage costs, maximise value and ensure quality and safety across a range of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources for assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin.
• Provide expertise in valuations, claims, budget monitoring and performance reporting.
• Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks in line with Kier policies.
• Authorise and oversee project variations, contracts and material orders.
• Support project teams in cost control and forecasting.
• Prepare and review tender documentation and subcontractor quotations.

Required profile

• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a similar construction role, preferably with a Tier 1 main contractor.
• Ability to understand and respond to contract issues.
• Strong IT proficiency, especially in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Full driving licence.
