Quantity Surveyor – Listed Buildings, Churches & Abbeys

About the role

This permanent position is based in Isleworth and focuses on quantity surveying for heritage projects such as listed buildings, churches and abbeys across London. You will join a specialist contractor that values professional development, offering hybrid working and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, value‑engineered cost estimates for complex heritage and civil engineering works.
• Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to contract award, assessing risks and opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Negotiate pricing terms and support the handover of projects to the operations team.
• Lead and mentor junior estimators, providing training and guidance on best practices.
• Visit project sites in Baker Street, Twickenham and surrounding areas as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on groundworks, basements or civil engineering projects.
• Background working with listed or heritage structures such as churches, abbeys or cathedrals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a close‑knit team.
• Strong communication skills for client and supplier interaction.
