Quantity Surveyor – MEP/Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with MEP and construction experience to join NG Bailey’s commercial team in Glasgow. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will support the project’s profitability through accurate cost control, payment applications and variation management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety focus and ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
• Interpret contract terms, manage risks and opportunities, and protect contractual entitlements.
• Prepare and submit payment applications, variations and compensation claims.
• Support sub‑contract account management through to final settlement.
• Monitor progress with operational teams and provide accurate internal reporting.
• Ensure timely delivery of project reports, certificates and payment documentation.
• Assist in negotiating and settling the final project account with the client.

Required profile

• Experience in MEP/Building services or main‑build construction at Quantity Surveyor level.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for the project.
• Relevant BSc/degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
