Quantity Surveyor – Passive Fire

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with specialist knowledge in passive fire protection to join a leading contractor in Bristol. The role involves managing costs, contracts and variations across fire‑stopping, fire‑door and compartmentation projects in sectors such as residential, healthcare and education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑tender contract and pricing support and post‑tender contractual advice.
• Monitor contract budgets against site progress and manage variation control, valuation and agreement.
• Prepare interim and final accounts, support debt management and month‑end invoicing.
• Produce forecast and CVR reports and oversee non‑labour subcontract management.
• Support pricing for large tenders/frameworks and manage price lists and supplier negotiations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project QS, preferably within passive fire projects.
• BSc or HNC in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying or Construction (preferred).
• Strong communication abilities and confident IT proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
