Quantity Surveyor – Residential & Hospitality Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable contractor delivering regeneration, refurbishment and new‑build projects across the residential and hospitality sectors. The role is based in Potters Bar and involves managing the commercial and financial side of façade and cladding remedial works from procurement to practical completion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, sub‑account management and preparation of monthly valuations to secure full payment.
• Report profit and loss performance through the monthly CVR process and monitor budgets against forecasts.
• Manage commercial risk, applying mitigation strategies and forecasting business performance.
• Potentially line‑manage other Quantity Surveyors and coordinate reporting across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with passive fire protection, fire stopping and fire break requirements on all assignments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on remedial façade and cladding projects.
• Strong knowledge of passive fire protection, fire stopping and fire break solutions.
• Experience working with developers, main contractors and local authorities.
• Ability to manage projects from procurement through to final account and to handle commercial performance of several sites simultaneously.
