Quantity Surveyor – Roofing & Cladding (6‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract, focusing on industrial roofing and cladding projects in Bridgwater. You will play a key part in managing project finances and ensuring accurate cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Bridgwater projects delivering industrial roofing and cladding solutions.
• Monitor site progress, record updates and feed information into monthly payment applications.
• Update contract scope changes and track monthly application figures, alerting relevant teams to budget constraints.
• Review labour schedules against actual site progress.
• Price variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters.
• Compare construction drawings to tender drawings and document any discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, representatives and suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven Quantity Surveyor experience within the construction industry.
• Preferably experience in the roofing and cladding market sector.
• NEC4 contract experience is highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• IT literate, especially Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proactive, motivated with solid commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence.
