Quantity Surveyor – Up to £70,000 (Bromley)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established family‑run construction firm in Bromley, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs from tender stage through to final accounts. You will play a key part in delivering high‑quality groundworks projects across London.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets from tender to completion, preparing accurate valuations.
• Procure subcontractors and oversee their contracts.
• Identify, assess and manage contract variations, early warnings and compensation events.
• Support cost and value management, ensuring timely financial reporting.
• Maintain strong client relationships and keep budgets on track.
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor progress against deadlines.
• Travel to sites around London as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Live within a commutable distance of Bromley and willing to travel to London sites.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cost management, valuations and subcontractor procurement.
• Experience with final accounts and contract variations.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
