Quarry Manager – Stowfield Quarry

About the role

Lead the Stowfield Quarry and Asphalt Plant in Coleford, delivering safe, efficient, and profitable operations. You will own the performance of the site, develop a high‑performing team, and drive continuous improvement across health, safety, and production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the quarry and asphalt plant, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
• Lead, coach and develop a skilled workforce, fostering a "one team" culture.
• Control budgets, monitor KPIs, and implement cost‑efficiency measures.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards, and oversee SOPs and training plans.
• Identify and execute continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimise processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quarry, Site or Unit Manager.
• Diploma in Quarry Technology or equivalent extractives qualification.
• Eligibility for Regulation 8.1(c) under the Quarry Regulations 1999.
• Strong knowledge of mineral extraction, processing and production techniques.
• Experience managing budgets, people and operational performance.
